Lovelace Learning began at a kitchen table in London, when a Year 11 student and her mum turned a scary mock exam timetable into a plan she could actually follow.
Friends wanted one too, then their schools. Today Save my Revision covers school mocks and public exams in England, Scotland and Australia, and Somerville brings the same thinking to teachers.
Somerville was born from teacher feedback. Teachers told us the usual teacher apps are hosted outside school, but what they wanted was one joined-up digital way to plan, structure lessons and give feedback, kept inside the school's own environment. So that's what we built.
Lovelace Learning links the two. Teachers can see how revision is going and set revision straight into students' plans, and students get it all in one place.
Millie is a self-confessed computer science geek. She's active, passionate about her friends and her health, and dedicated to school. Facing her mocks, she saw a gap: nothing turned an exam timetable into something that slotted into her life, around school, sport, friends and rest. So she helped design it, and made it work for everyone else too.
Amy builds, transforms and scales businesses across telecoms, media and technology. She has led large-scale change and built high-performing teams at Telstra, Macquarie Group, Ericsson and the BBC, built Macquarie's telco and enterprise network financing business from scratch, and is now Chief Operating Officer of a global software company. She also advises private equity and venture capital firms on technology investments.
Together they bring a student's eye and that discipline to schools: simple to use, secure by design and built to grow. Everything we build is designed with students and teachers.
